CIS Youtuber with 2,000 Subscribers
Q: Hi, Connor. Introduce yourself please.
A: Hello, I am Connor Nguyen and 17 years old. I am a student in grade 11, CIS.
Q: I heard that you are also a student Youtuber, so can you tell me about your channel?
A: I have small channel with 2000 subscribers. I make many videos and upload them on youtube.
Q: When did you start making videos? How many hours do you spend to make one video?
A: I first started at New Year's Eve when I was in Canada. Then I stopped making videos in
March because the owner of the house that I was staying in didn't allow me to. They said I was too noisy, so I decided to go back to Vietnam and wait until I'm over 18 years old to rent an apartment in Canada. It would usually take 5 to 8 hours to make one video. However, sometimes I spend a whole week to make a 20-minute video.
Q: What do you actually do for recording? What applications do you use for this process?
A: I record myself playing video games and sometimes do live streams. I usually play strategy
games that require skills. I use Nvidia Shadowplay to record and I edit with Abode Premier Pro. Finally, I would upload them on my channel.
Q: Can you tell me why you started to do this?
A: First of all, I did it for fun because I very much enjoyed playing video games before I started to do this. And then, I saw a video on Youtube of a guy that plays one game with skills and strategy. I was inspired, so I decided to make videos like him. And then, I suddenly decided to take this whole thing more seriously too.
Q: What is your plan for the future for your Youtube channel?
A: I will keep doing this as my part-time job and hopefully in the future I could make much
more money, so I can focus on this for 100% on this after I graduate university.
Q: Is making videos a crucial part of your life?
A: Yes, it is very important to me. There are lots of vietnamese parent who think playing game
is just bad. So I want change their thought by showing how I can benefit from playing games.
